Hello. As stated, I have the G20 with a 5.0 and 135xxx. This truck has started quickly since the day I got it. The other day I ran some errands, stopping in a couple of places. At the last stop the truck wouldn't start; it just turned over. As I was low on fuel, not out, I thought that perhaps the truck being parked nose down on an incline might be the problem. I got it level, put in about 1/2 gal of gas, but still no luck. I suspected a fuel pump. In desperation, I pumped the crap out of the pedal while cranking and got a brief start, but not enough to run more than a couple of seconds. I had it towed home, let it sit for a couple days, and then went out to look it over. I hit the key and it started in instantly, running great. Any ideas what might be going on? Thanks for the help.

At this point it's really impossible to rule much out, could be fuel
issues or could be ignition. Is this got a carb or is it fuel
injected?

I'm going to presume it's a port injected motor, and the check engine
light isn't lit.
If you run it low on fuel often, the pump could be the culprit, they
sometimes act up intermittently when they're going out (mine did) and
with 135K miles it could be at the end of its useful life.
I would check the fuel pressure now and see how it compares to specs,
and if it's out of range, check the regulator and go from there.
If it reads within specs, perhaps carry the gauge with you anyway --
that way if it acts up again you can simply hook it up to the shrader
valve on the spot and determine if that's it, and go from there.
Try that and re-post, with more info (any check engine light? Port or
TBI?)
