When incidents like this happen people start to wonder if this kind of behaviour is still going on.

You are not interested in listening to a salesperson selling you something he and many others know may kill you.

If GM should have learned from its recent bankruptcy is that you can not fool everybody all the time.

you misunderstand corporate infrastructure. /That/ GM went bankrupt.
The /new/ GM is a different entity. And salespeople?....they have no
idea about what's going on outside of who from the service dept is
dating whom from the title room in /their/ little dealership.

GM sent warnings to the dealers that the cars could be lethal several times the last ten years but kept on making and selling them.
