Asian automobiles don't break down like American made junk. The
Asians understand that that road to success is not paved by a
bunch of service shops to keep substandard products running - at
the cost to the consumer.

80% of GM profit came from service and spare parts.

It will be interesting to see what kind of tricks will be used to squees profit out of electrics.

They do in general not need much maintenance.

Very few mowing parts that can brake.

Over the years I have been in some hairy situations after the brakes have broke down but fortunately not run into anything.

The brakes on my Impala went on a motorway in Germany and I could manage to let it slide to a halt on going off the motorway onto a sideroad and managed to slide into a row of cars without crashing into anything.

That was scary.

I had a lot of things failing on the Impala.

Such a nice car but such a lemon.
